Department/Division:       ANZ Legal                                  

 

Position reports to:            Assistant General Counsel, ANZ Legal

 

 

General Function: To manage reporting obligations under Oracle’s significant Agreements with public and private sector customers and provide assistance to ANZ Legal on contractual and legal matters

 

1.     Key Objectives / Measures

·      Ensure contractual reporting obligations are documented, tracked and complied with

·      Provide ad hoc paralegal assistance to ANZ Legal team

 

2.     Responsibilities

 

2.1. Management Functions

·         Independent management of, and compliance with, contractual obligations to report on matters such as current contracts, corporate social responsibility initiatives, indigenous procurement and other relevant obligations

·         Work closely with ANZ Legal, Deal Management and LOBs to identify reporting requirements and collate relevant information for reporting

·         Develop good working relationships with your counterpart at the Customer’s organisation

·         Manage ad hoc paralegal tasks as required

 

2.2. Contract management Functions

·         Work with ANZ Legal to identify all relevant matters to be reported and draft processes to manage compliance with reporting obligations (“Processes”)

·         Implement Processes and ensure compliance with Processes

·         Work closely with internal stakeholders to obtain information required to develop reports in a timely manner

·         Report to Customers in accordance with contractual obligations

·         In conjunction with ANZ Legal, train internal stakeholders on the Processes and what is required of each stakeholder

·         In conjunction with ANZ Legal, respond to ad hoc queries from your counterpart at the Customer’s organisation

·         Provide other ad hoc contract support to ANZ Legal

 

3.     Required Skills

·         Ability to accurately interpret Agreements and Contracts

·         Excellent organisational skills and the ability to project manage to deadlines

·         High level legal drafting skills

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Presentation and training skills

·         Excellent interpersonal skills

 

4.     Minimum job requirements

·         Law degree and admission to practice in an Australian jurisdiction; or paralegal qualifications and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience are preferred; or

·         Five years’ contract management experience.

 

 

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 5 plus years relevant work experience.
