Job Description:
- The incumbent (Localization & Translation Specialist) localize, validates and manage contract documentation using Oracle's standard document templates and systems, in response to requests received from Global Business Practices and regional business team.
- The incumbent (Localization & Translation Specialist) follows defined engagement guidelines to liaise with other Deal Management teams, Finance, Legal, and other groups across Oracle to ensure policy compliance and mitigate corporate risk.
- The incumbent (Localization & Translation Specialist) may work in a multicultural environment and cover multiple countries and/or lines of business. The work is fast paced and seasonal in nature, corresponding with Oracle’s quarterly and annual fiscal cycles.
Responsibilities:
- Manage documentation localization requests, include local entity details and country exceptions in HQ templates
- Managing and updating JAPAC document website / DELTA / DPO Workspaces
- Periodically check and update localization details for 16 countries (~ 20 entities)
- Assist with coordinating translations and translation validation for 5 country stripes, with company’s supplier, Deal Management and/or Legal teams.
- Assist with checking localization work with online contracting tool (FEC)
- Assist with generating reports for senior management, as required
- Manage Localization Status update for tracking, reporting, and audit purposes
- Assist the manager to run mini-projects where required.
- Assist with answering queries from other employees in respect of document templates
- Maintain knowledge of contract processes, systems, tools and applications.
- Customer Centric - Identify/anticipate problems and initiate actions to ensure Customer requirement are delivered efficiently.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Good level of command of English
- Spoken and written proficiency in Mandarin is a must and Bahasa would be an advantage
- Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel
- Good interpersonal skills
- At least 1-2 years’ working experience with managing commercial and/or software contracts
- Diploma in BA/BS. LLB or Diploma in Paralegal Studies would be an advantage
- Very detail-oriented
- Technologically-savvy – willing and able to learn and use new programs and innovate within given software programs
- Able to work under pressure and within very tight deadlines
- Willing to learn new things within a short time
As a member of Contract Management you will assist customers, both internal and external, with license contract interpretation, negotiations and administration of licensing agreements including extensions, new business, invoicing, credit holds, receivable issues and consolidations. Draft and negotiate standard and non-standard contracts. Act as a liaison between consultants, Credit, License, Tax, Business Practices, Revenue accounting, and customers to resolve contractual and consulting business issues. Validate all aspects of contract packages for accuracy and compliance with Oracle's Business Practices and Consulting Business Approvals/Process while maintaining customer satisfaction and responsiveness. Submit contract order packages to Revenue accounting for order processing and project funding. Anticipate problems and initiate actions to ensure customer orders are processed efficiently. Prepare contract status reports.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical communication skills. Organized and detail oriented. Experience drafting standard contractual documents. Ability to work effectively under time critical deadlines. Proficient in Email, MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of Oracle policies and procedures desired. 2 year experience in contracts, purchasing, or equivalent. BA/BS degree, Paralegal Certification or equivalent years of experience.
