POSITION TITLE:                          Oracle Financing Regional Operations Representative - LAD

POSITION LOCATION:                 Mexico City, Mexico

REPORTS TO:                                Director, Oracle Financing LAD Operations

 

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:  Oracle Financing closes $2b+ in annual global business through a portfolio of custom payment options; bespoke IT investment strategies; and keen advisory insights for financial optimization. Our flexibility, choice, and guidance help customers in 70+ countries acquire the Oracle hardware and software they need – in the cloud, on-premise, or in hybrid environments

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The OFD Regional  Operations Representative (“ROS”) supports OFD transactions in their assigned countries within a region (LAD).  The ROS is the primary Oracle and Funder-facing contact supporting their assigned region.  The ROS works closely with Oracle Financing Sales, Credit and Legal, as well as with Oracle Contracts, Order Management, Finance and others to ensure that financed transactions meet business practice requirements, and are booked and funded in a timely manner. 

  • Provide pre-close sales and operations support:
    • Provide support to Oracle Financing Sales to address questions related to documentation, amendments, pricing and tax.
  • Closed Deals
    • Review completed contracts to ensure the transaction complies with OFD Business Practices (including Contracts, pricing, credit, legal, LOB)
    • Address any deficiencies in the contracts working with OFD Sales, Field Operations, Legal and OFD management.
    • Coordinate booking of the products and services with Oracle Contracts, Order Admin and RevRec.
    • Address questions from AR and Credit-Collections regarding invoicing, midterm replace and or terminations.
  • Assignment
    • Prepare Assignment packages including review of the product and services invoices for accuracy; determination of funding date and preparation of Funding Reports; and coordination with OFD Funding & Risk Management and Funders.
    • Handle inquiries through assignment process and post-assignment.
  • Cash Management
    • Track funder initial funding and pass-thru payments, interface with Cash Apps,  Collections, and Funder to ensure all OFD deals are funded timely
  • Other
    • Participate as a team member or project leader on Oracle Financing process improvement and technology projects.
    • Prepare management and metrics reports when requested.
    • Build relationships and foster communications within Oracle and with financial institutions.
    • Strive to provide a high level of customer service

Qualifications:

  • BA/HBO degree in finance, accounting, economics or business preferred.
  • Three to five years work experience in vendor financing and/or leasing operations, with in-depth knowledge of leasing/financing contracts preferred
  • Knowledge of basic finance concepts (such as discounting cash flows, net present value, internal rate of return, etc) including intermediate Excel skills.
  • Ability to think analytically, problem solve and focus attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English and Spanish

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong decision making ability under pressure situations
The Contracts Administrator job is comprised of either a Deal Specialist or a Deal Manager role. Both work in a multi-cultural environment and cover multiple countries and/or lines of business. The work is fast-paced and seasonal in nature, corresponding with Oracle’s quarterly and annual fiscal cycles.

The Deal Specialist creates, validates and processes contract documentation using Oracle's standard document templates, a set of contract options and in accordance with Oracle's policies and business approvals, in response to requests received from Sales. The Deal Specialist follows defined engagement guidelines to liaise with other Deal Management teams, Finance, Legal, and other groups across Oracle to ensure policy compliance and mitigate corporate risk. The Deal Manager leads and manages the contracting process end-to-end for strategic, complex transactions that meet regional criteria requiring Deal Manager involvement. The Deal Manager sets the overall direction for his/her assigned managed deal(s) and is responsible for the successful execution of the contracting process, ensuring consistency and adherence with Oracle strategy, commitments and goals as well as compliance with Oracle policies and procedures. The Deal Manager facilitates and co-coordinates discussion amongst Sales and multiple Oracle functional stakeholders (i.e. Deal Specialist, RevRec, Finance, Legal, OFD, Business Practices, Migrations, Order Management, etc.) to reach agreement on contracting terms in order to solve complex contracting scenarios and meet the specific needs of his/her assigned managed deal(s).

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical communication skills. Organized, detail oriented, and time management skills. Proficient in Email, MS Word and Excel. Able to work effectively under time critical deadlines. Demonstrates resilience in times of change and uncertainty. Anticipates customer needs. Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial, federal, state, and/or local government contracts. Knowledge of Oracle policies and procedures desired. Must be fluent in local languages for contracting country. Able to evaluate alternative courses of action. 5 years experience in contracts, purchasing, or equivalent. Prior experience in high tech industry preferred. BA/BS degree, or equivalent years of experience.
