The Data Centre Technical Support Engineering Operations Cluster Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the performance of data center infrastructure within a specific location. The role requires a result-driven, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to operational problems. He or she will be responsible for data center engineering operations across three Amazon Data Center availability zones at ZhongWei city, managing a team of engineers responsible for availability of mechanical and electrical operations, including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting.


Responsibilities
· Hiring, managing, and developing the operations management team including facility managers, chief engineers.
· Attainment of organizational performance goals and objectives relating to safety, security, availability, scaling, and efficiency.
· Planning and executing the Infrastructure Operations component of new AWS data center build outs, AWS data center expansions, including facility hardware install, troubleshooting and repair and related Operations tasks.
· Operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for Amazon datacenters, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and change management.
· Vendor management of colocation data center services providers to meet or exceed contracted performance SLA’s.
· Safety, security, and availability incident response, incident management, and incident resolution.
· Continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.
