MDCS is developing software for a number of machine learning algorithms: optical character recognition, document layout analysis and image analysis. An important part of this development process is collection and labeling of data samples used for training and testing of these algorithms. We’re looking for a candidate familiar with sign language who would join our team to help us improve our work in sign language recognition and translation. Students are welcome to apply.
Type of engagement:
This is a temporary part-time (20 hours per week) job position based in Belgrade. The engagement typically lasts 3 to 5 months.
Responsibilities
Successful candidate will be responsible for
• Collecting and labeling data samples for sign languages
• Evaluation of data collection and labeling tool features
• Providing feedback in written and verbal form
• Writing daily reports
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications:
• Fluent in Serbian Sign language
• Fluent in English and Serbian, both written and spoken
• General computer literacy (for more info see the FAQ document)
• Team-oriented attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
• Commitment to accuracy, quality and attention to detail
Employment for this position is done through an external agency. Note that it may require you to obtain personal work permit if you do not possess Serbian citizenship.
