The Global Solutions Development team is responsible for delivery projects around the world, ensuring quality and excellence in all deployments. A Backend Software Engineer will be able to work with customers to design architectures, solutions, migrations and optimizations

 

Responsibilities
 

• Design and develop backend applications based on microservices architecture
• Design and implement Analytics solutions that incorporate competitive messaging
• Plan work and Features for the pipeline infrastructure
• Build Machine Learning pipelines aligned to business needs
• Create high-quality code that is scalable, reliable and reusable
• Support continuous integration, unit tests, and functional automation
• Maintain the vision for the Spark/Hadoop ecosystem and its future direction

 

Mandatory

 

• BS or MS degree in Computer science or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of work experience as a ML Engineer or Data scientist
• Demonstrated know-how in Spark architecture
• Knowledge of Big Data Ecosystems (Hadoop, MapR)
• Proven experience in development ETL, data flows and processing Data at scale
• Experience with the entire data pipeline (from data storage to model development)
• Big Data Programming know-how in Java and Python
• Knowledge of Open Source technologies like Spark, Kafka and Kubernetes
• Experience using git for development
• Strong knowledge of DevOps and Cloud Native
• Proficient English, oral and written

 

Desirable

 

• Java and/or Python, stream processing expertise, monitoring and alerting experience (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Experience working with database and messaging systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch/ELK, Cassandra, Grafana, InfluxDB, Redis.
• Experience working in at least one of the following cloud environments: Oracle Cloud, MS Azure or AWS.
• Experience working with teams using continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated testing using development tools (Jira, Git, Jenkins, etc.)

An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
