Job Description

Want to work on one of the fastest growing areas within the products at Oracle? Oracle Sales and Service Cloud (CRM)! We are currently looking for developers to join the Oracle Sales and Service Cloud.   We are looking for a lead developer/architect for our telemetry solution that is responsible for providing user telemetry and observability data for entire Oracle fleet.  As Oracle continues to aggressively move towards a full range of Cloud Solutions we want you to join our team and directly be responsible for supporting, developing, and delivering these solutions.  Our department is Oracle Sales and Service Cloud DevOps within the Engineering organization.

 

One primary focus for our team is to produce the software tools that Oracle uses to monitor, patch, troubleshoot, data mine and metric reporting on behalf of our Oracle Cloud Customers. These focus areas play a pivotal role to ensure we can gain the most efficiencies and scale appropriately which ultimately benefit the customer.

 

We operate using agile principles and currently have teams located in Canada, U.S. and India. This particular position is located in the Denver, CO.

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Combine knowledge of Oracle Products with Fleet Usage and other related data to then design and architect algorithms for output for telemetry.

- Interacts with various product and operations teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.

- Define technical requirements and design algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.

- Contribute and follow data science process including tasks and deliverables related to requirements, data discovery and extraction, model development, to implementation

- Ensure high-quality data and understand how data is generated out and experimental design and how these experiments can produce actionable, trustworthy conclusions.

- Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

- Assist senior management in making key business decisions.

 

Experience:

 

- BS/MS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field

- 5+ years of relevant work experience covering areas below

- Experience with data mining, data processing, data science, data modeling, and hypothesis testing

- Experience in data analysis and databases in a business environment utilizing business intelligence and large-scale complex data sets

- Proven track record of designing and building executive level dashboards and trend reports

- Experience writing solid functional/technical requirements

- Knowledge using PL/SQL

- Experience with statistical/mathematical predictive modeling

- Experience with machine learning / artificial intelligence

- Experience with cloud technologies like virtualization, Docker, Kubernetes,

- Experience with Telemetry and monitoring solutions including Visualization solutions like Grafana

- Experience with Data Science algorithms and technologies

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal

- Experience with DB schema design, optimized SQL generation, and tuning

- Experience with of industry-standard tooling to create complex, scalable and robust models

- Capable of working independently and efficiently

- Knowledge using Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

- Experience with CICD/DevOps

- Programming skills in Python, R, or Java

- Knowledge of Linux/Unix

- Knowledge of JSON or REST Web Services is an asset

- Knowledge with Jira, Confluence, SVN/GIT

- Experience with R, Google Analytics, Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka and industry standard analytic tools

- Understand concepts and able to explain and persuading DevOps’ culture, automation, lean, measurement, and sharing changes throughout internal teams

 

 

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Colorado Pay Range:  From $111,407 to $200,534 per annum
Eligible for bonus and equity
