Roles and Responsibilities

Development Application DBA

-        System dba and application dba

-        Plans changes to database with developers to support new features and releases

-        Create and maintain development, test and QA databases

-        Monitoring health of dev databases, including test databases

-        Automate monitoring and management of numerous databases in devops, reducing manual effort

-        Automation and Reuse of databases in devops

Performance analysis

-        Assist performance engineers in analyzing database performance and optimization

-        Run explain plans and assist developers in tuning queries

-        Works with developers to tune queries, optimize through indexes, partitions and other Oracle DB technologies

-        Oracle database capacity planning for growth projections, performance monitoring setup and operations

Data warehouse administration

-        Database setup and tuning

-        Goldengate setup and administration

-        Reporting database setup and maintenance of reports, queries and tables for executive reporting

Experience\Skills

-        5+yrs supporting Oracle 12c 19c databases in Linux environments

-        2+ yrs supporting Oracle replication, goldengate and dblinks

-        1+ yrs experience with DBaaS and ADB

-        Strong SQL and PL/SQL – writing, testing, deploying and supporting in production environments

-        Demonstrated experience and understanding of Oracle DB security and authentication, backup and recovery

-        Production troubleshooting and support experience with Oracle 12c 19c in both standalone and cloud instances

-        BA\BA in IT or Computer Science

-        Certifications in Oracle Database and OCI Databases a plus

 

Detailed Description and Job Requirement

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
