We are seeking a highly motivated manager to lead a team of talented engineers to solve complex technical problems that span multiple areas combining software and systems; excel in automation scripting, infrastructure orchestration, release management/configuration management and continuous integration.

Must be a motivated, team-player with the ability to work cross functionally with a “can-do” and “do-it-right” attitude and willingness to mentor others.

Must be a self-starter and constantly thinking a way to improve the work and have excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities\:

• Manage, develop and motivate a team of devops engineers to help them grow in their technical expertise and meet their career aspirations
• Drive engineering teams to converge towards devops best practices around cloud native applications, Kubernetes, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Prometheus and many other modern SaaS technology
• Work with teams in multiple continents in deploying and supporting a world class product and ensure that customers and stakeholders are well informed of the progress as well as of the risks.
• Provide technical leadership and direction and can comfortably deep dive into new technology
• Foster a continuous improvement cycle to build organizational efficiency in an informal environment where change is the norm.

Requirements\:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or related/equivalent field
• At least 6-10 years of previous software engineering or related experience
• Has managed or lead a team of devops engineers, ideally delivering large scale systems in production
• Demonstrates a deep understanding of Linux, networking, CI/CD, and large cluster management and automation
• Proficiency in four or more modern programming languages (Java, C/C , Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Go, Perl, shell)
• Experience with cloud native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
• Knowledge of automation trends for operational security processes (e.g. Vulnerability Management, Change Management)
• Hands-on experience with different Cloud vendors on large-scale distributed deployments
• Experience with CI/CD
• Strong Agile background (eg. SCRUM/Kanban), able to practice and mentor others
• Excellent analytical skills, professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

!|!Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.!|!
