We’re looking for someone who is energetic and gets excited about writing, editing and delivering digital content. You will be self-motivated, proactive and able to hit the ground running. You probably call yourself a writer, a content producer or even a content strategist; and that’s fine, provided you have strong, engaging and ‘fresh’ writing skills.
What is the role:
Based in Melbourne, you will be working in our Customer Experience team – made up of Designers, SME’s, Video Producers, Developers, Translators and User Communications - who are passionate about helping our users. You’ll create engaging online support, training and enablement content solutions that other companies will want, keep an eye on.
A typical week might see you writing content, publishing and managing that content, contributing to the design of a new section of our support site and suggesting internal process improvements.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working closely with Product and Support teams to identify their requirements and communicate that to our users
- Applying an engaging and ‘fun’ tone on written content
- Designing, producing and publishing written content, assuring brand and language consistency and integrity
- Writing and editing copy for our various digital platforms
- Editing other teams written content as well as providing advice and direction
- Develop, own and managing the content strategies that align with our wider goals
- Creating writing style guides and templates
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to co-ordinate with a globally dispersed team
- Produce, edit and publish digital content from start to finish
- Seeing your projects through to delivery and track performance.
What we need you to have:
- Excellent copywriting skills (flawless spelling and grammar) for a variety of digital formats and to suit different audiences
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as part of a team
- Superior skills to manage stakeholders and deadlines
- Ability to distil tone of voice and technical expertise into informative and engaging content
What are the bonuses (but not a deal breaker):
- Email campaigns
- Writing video scripts
- JIRA and Confluence
- Website IA and design
- Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Knowledge of UX principles and their application to content production
- Customer journey mapping
- Website analytics
