As a Director of Product Marketing, JAPAC in the Oracle Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit, you will ensure the market success of the product portfolio in JAPAC.
You will regionalize and execute global go-to-market strategies that connect our industry-leading products with their ideal customers, work through marketing to drive awareness and demand generation, and enable tactical and strategic selling. As a critical member of the ASIA team, you will participate in setting regional goals and advocate for your regional product and marketing needs. Working with product and audience marketing, you will tailor positioning, messaging, content, and programs leveraging key customers, subject matter experts, and industry influencers.
Product Marketing is a new and pivotal group within the business unit. It is truly the glue that binds product strategy to the tactics needed to drive success in sales and marketing and a key driver of business results. Our mission is to make it easy for the market to realize the unique value the Oracle Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit delivers. As a first international leader, you will play an important role in evolving the group’s culture, its influence across the business unit, and Oracle’s impact on the global $11 trillion construction industry.
We are building the team with two types of product markers. One focuses on the global success of a product or product line, working closely with product managers to bring new capabilities to market and ensure their long-term success. The other role focuses on a target audience, crafting solutions across the business unit’s product portfolio and working closely with industry groups and demand generation to drive pipeline and achieve revenue targets. These two roles work in tandem to define strategies, orchestrate cross-functional activities and drive internal and external communications. This role will be a hybrid working across both audience and product marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain regional market knowledge. Track industry trends, processes, challenges, and opportunities. Identify competitive solutions’ strengths and weaknesses. Track key customers.
- Target and champion buyers. Define best-fit target audiences, understand personas - their challenges, how they buy and their key buying criteria. Use market research data to influence product strategy, pricing and packaging.
- Regionalize global positioning to resonate with your target buyer personas and set our products apart from alternatives. Build and tell a compelling story across all internal and external, marketing and sales channels. Work closely with subject matter experts to create regionalized thought leadership content and evangelize the solution.
- Work closely with product marketers to understand product strategies and roadmaps, advocate for regional needs. Plan and execute regional new product/capability launches and drive the cross-functional implementation of those plans to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Regionalize global go-to-market strategies, marketing plans and sales plays. Manage execution through marketing, solution consultants and sales enablement. Work closely with product marketing to create supporting content, enablement tools, playbooks, customer facing positioning presentations, strategy and vision decks. Track and analyze results of all initiatives.
- Understand and support our sales enablement team; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers; work with them to develop ongoing sales tools that facilitate the selling process.
- Support the marketing team to develop marketing plans, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers, advocate for regional needs.
- Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support our products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
- Act as one of the primary thought leaders for our products, including speaking engagements and written works.
Requirements
- 10 years of product marketing experience in B2B, SaaS industry.
- Significant experience in ASIA region.
- Construction application experience a plus.
- Experience performing market sizing and segmentation.
- Experience crafting differentiated messaging for products in competitive markets.
- Experience developing and leading product launch and broader GTM processes.
- Experience orchestrating marketing plans and programs.
- Experience enabling sales success with BDR teams and field sales teams.
- Solid proof of presentation, writing, and general communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills with attention to detail.
- Self-starter with strong business acumen who truly wants to build something great.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- MBA a plus.
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
