Job summary

As a data-driven company, Amazon values accurate and precise testing. The role of Display Optical Test Engineer will support display and optics product development by enabling data collection and analysis both in the lab and on-site at manufacturing partners. In addition to strong proficiency in data analysis, the candidate will apply knowledge of display technology, optics, manufacturing processes, and programming/automation in order to bring up new test systems and support existing infrastructure. As a member of the Display and Optics Engineering Team, the candidate will work closely with design engineering, operations and manufacturing teams, and outside vendors.

Candidate will be responsible for:
· Ownership of optical lab equipment, including test method development, calibration, data collection, and data analysis
· Bring up, maintain, and troubleshoot optical test systems on-site at contract manufacturers
· Support product builds on-site at contract manufacturers by troubleshooting issues, analyzing data, and coordinating vendors

This position requires up to 50% travel, primarily within China.
