The Technology Software Engineering Specialist team tasked to support the EMEA Field Account teams in a diverse number of ways. No travel required as the activities are done remotely for EMEA peers. These range from answering RFx/tenders, creating DEMOs/PoCs, sizing Solutions, delivering Workshops or creating Business Cases.
In the Technology Software Engineering Specialist team, we are looking for individuals who are willing to take on the challenge of building excellent product knowledge (Oracle Technology Portfolio) and to combine this with a good commercial sense, clear communication while working in an international environment.
What you will do?
On a day to day base you will work closely with the Field Account teams across countries in EMEA. The tasks delivered by you as part of Technology Software Engineering Specialist team will be focused on:
- Responding to technical queries, supporting on a range of issues such as answering product questions, creating content and documents for Oracle potential/existing Customers, researching a product topic or competitive product and other tasks that support the Field Account teams, our Customers and Partners.
- Providing Presales support to RFI’s, RFP’s, RFQ’s, PQQ’s, etc.; answering to tender specifications and compliance matrix.
- Building Solutions and working closely with other Technology Software Engineering Specialists in providing solutions based on Customer requirements
- Building Demos to show our products and features, Workshops to help partners and customers understand our products better, POC’s to help the customer understand how the product works with a real set of data.
- A significant portion of your time will also be used to stay up to date on the latest product releases & Oracle’s strategy. This is done through Oracle’s well-known self-study, online training and classroom training which can help you in your career growth, expand your product knowledge and validate your expertise to give you an edge in the IT industry.
Qualifications
To fulfil the role of Technology Software Engineering Specialist we are looking for individuals who match the following profile:
- Good understanding of the IT market landscape & trends
- Technical/IT education, university degree with post-graduation, Engineering Degree
- At least 5-10 years of experience in an IT related role (pre-sales consultant, Solution Engineering, technical support, consulting, development)
- An understanding of architecture, knowledge of Overall Oracle Technology Portfolio
Good understanding of the following areas
- Strong Experience with Oracle Database is a must
- Strong experience supporting and managing customer database
- Working knowledge of Installation and configuration and tuning the database
- Working knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
- Experience Managing SQL/PLSQL and hands on experience with the development tools
- Experience with Database Security options
- Experience with Oracle Golden Gate
- Experience with Data Integrator Technology

As a Staff Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate Oracle product*s strengths, features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.3 - 5 years business experience preferred; vendor experience also preferred. 3 years relevant computer applications or database/tools preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Knowledge of system and application design preferred. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.
