Oracle University is seeking to hire a dynamic Education Sales Consultant to drive engagement with key customers and position the value of Oracle’s Cloud Learning solutions. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

This individual contributor role will 

  • Engage with key customers; assess customer adoption stage and their employee learning needs, map to available learning solutions, and thus create learning proposals which results in faster and effective adoption by customer, and better ROI on software investment.
  • Own and drive specific account plans for assigned customers.
  • Build and manage business pipeline towards achievement of individual sales targets

 

REQUIRED  EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience in selling software solutions and/or IT Consulting solutions
  • Understanding of SaaS technologies
  • Experience in handling major accounts 
  • Track record of achieving sales targets including proven experience to build and manage pipeline, ability to accelerate the sales process towards in-time deal closure.
  • Previous experience in handling or collaborating in configuring / closing large training deals will be a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills. 

 

DETAILED DESCRIPTION AND JOB REQUIREMENTS 

The primary focus of an Education Sales Consultant is to sell learning solutions to existing Oracle customers and to prospect for new customers in the assigned territory or vertical.

You will sell to an assigned set of accounts to achieve assigned targets. Design and develop account penetration strategies, and closes business. Responsible for understanding Oracle’s product offerings and competitive offerings. Liaise with customer contacts for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, identifying new opportunities, and selling Oracle Cloud learning solutions. 

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Staff Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate Oracle product*s strengths, features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.3 - 5 years business experience preferred; vendor experience also preferred. 3 years relevant computer applications or database/tools preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Knowledge of system and application design preferred. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.
