The Enterprise Reporting Director, part of Corporate Systems and Programs, helps shape the future of Business Intelligence at Oracle to ensure that the internal implementations of our BI solutions are a showcase for the industry. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key business leadership role in the evolution of Oracle’s reporting solutions using some of the most advanced BI technologies available on the market today.
The Enterprise Reporting Director will help Oracle drive further progress into the Cloud, using Oracle’s latest BI and Data Warehousing tools, platform and infrastructure. This business leadership position is responsible for Data Governance, BI strategy, and business engagement as business owner of the corporate data warehouse. The Enterprise Reporting Director is a trusted partner to the functional and LOB owners and IT development and operational teams.
This role\:
- Is ideal for a Business Intelligence and Reporting Leader who is experienced in Financial and Operational reporting, Data Warehousing, Reporting solutions, data governance, information security, data standards, and leadership of corporate wide global programs
- Communicates with executives and various levels of management for Data Governance and Program leadership
- Leads a series of communication and engagement forums for the Oracle BI Community of business and technical teams to share best practices, provide latest information about global programs, and carry out actions from executive guidance
- Skillfully navigates the goals of agility and innovation with data governance and standardization
- Manages two senior program managers who have responsibility for data governance efforts, BI community engagement, conformed dimensions, security management and special projects
The Enterprise Reporting Director leads several major programs including\:
- Coordinate and Manage efforts across various organizations and LOBs to ensure readiness of reporting solutions impacted by Oracle’s internal transaction systems moving to the Cloud. Own the roadmap to readiness to ensure business continuity from these changes; driving communications, issue/gap resolution, change management and transparent statusing to Executives and senior management.
- Provide business leadership, Governance, planning and tracking for the business migration to the corporate data warehouse in the Cloud in partnership with OAL and each LOB. Establish and enable appropriate data governance over the new solutions and architecture to ensure optimal utilization, engagement, and benefit along with data security, consistency, business self-service and agility.
Preferred Qualifications\:
- 6 years experience leading cross organizational, global business intelligence (BI) programs
- 5 years people-management experience, including managing more senior level direct reports and remote employees
- Experience establishing or managing Data Governance and Information Security policies and processes in a BI role
- Experience leading global programs for upgrade, enablement or migration of data warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions, especially cross organizational, global deployments
- Proven ability to lead and influence across teams and organizations
- Executive presence and comfort with engaging with various levels of Executives and management
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on relationship and trust building
- Results and delivery oriented
- High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities over a long-term horizon
Manages employees who perform project management duties which involving cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of internal products or administrative systems. Oversees plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors programs/projects from initiation through delivery and interfaces with internal customers or department personnel. Organizes project activities and interdepartmental meetings. Ensures communication facilitates completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills and analytical skills BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically seven years of project management or related experience needed.
