Intelligence Operations Developer
Are you a security guru who loves a challenge? We are looking for a highly-skilled and dedicated Intelligence Operations Developer to drive intelligence operations at scale that would combine aspects of software development, malware analysis, and cyber threat intelligence analysis. Our client base is global and in nearly every industry.

Your Role
Candidates should demonstrate background in computer science or engineering and an interest in software development, design, and reverse engineering. Our ideal candidate must demonstrate technical and problem-solving skills, a passion for technology and software, teamwork skills and leadership potential. Candidates must be able to work in a driven environment and exhibit creative thinking and collaboration. He or she should have the ability to turn ideas into reality, communicate effectively, and work closely with others in teams around the world. The successful candidate will be able to succinctly communicate complex material to a range of audiences.

 

Introduction

IBM X-Force Incident Response & Intelligence Services (IRIS) is looking for a developer to drive intelligence operations at scale that would combine aspects of software development, malware analysis, and cyber threat intelligence analysis. The role requires the ability to parse data objects, develop middleware and tools, and support data interchange and integrations among a range of product formats and implementation expertise. This developer will be required to support a mix of long-term, iterative projects as well as short-notice presentations, papers, and communications. The key task will be helping IRIS to develop tools and capabilities for delivering real-time, actionable data. Up to 10% travel is required for training, conferences, or client engagements.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience developing simple scripts or tools using Python  
  • Experience using Restful APIs and JSON data manipulation
  • Familiarity with malware analysis tools and processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members to ensure successful implementation of solutions that meet and ideally exceed user requirements

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to present technical findings through written reports or oral briefings for dissemination to various technical audiences
  • Experience with Agile development cycles
  • Experience creating and deploying container style applications
  • Experience supporting incident response partners, managed security teams, or cyber threat analysis teams
