Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Cloud is an industry-leading SaaS suite of products that helps organizations across the world to model and plan across finance, HR, supply chain, and sales, streamline the financial close process, and drive better decisions. EPM Cloud is deployed in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform. Our team is responsible for the common software platform on which all EPM Cloud suite of products run. This includes automated provisioning, configuration, deployment, diagnostics, monitoring, capacity planning, security, high availability, disaster recovery, etc.

What you’ll do

You will work in the product development and diagnostics team on the EPM Cloud common software platform.

Your tasks include:

• Perform root cause analysis of complex issues in the production environment, provide solutions in a timely manner, and design enhancements so that the similar issues are not reported in future.
• Provide design optimization suggestions for Planning and Essbase-based applications to customers for better performance.
• Create and present Root Cause Analysis presentations for customers.
• Collaborate with other EPM Cloud teams and Essbase team on various customer issues.
• Come up with innovative ideas for continuous improvements to the product and ability to troubleshoot the issues more efficiently.

Required Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience in Essbase-based application design and optimization.
• Basic knowledge of Linux platform
• Understanding of database technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science
• 7+ years of experience in Essbase-based application design and optimization
• Experience in calc scripting
• Experience on Linux platform
• Experience in Oracle database

• Short description:

  Looking for an Essbase Diagnostics Engineer to work on challenging, fast-paced environments, with the following skills: Essbase app design and optimization, Calc Script design and optimization, reports design and optimization, troubleshooting and problem solving.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
