Job Description
Overview / Key Responsibilities & Tasks\:
Deliver a skilled and effective incident and change management service for Oracle hosted Food and Beverage applications. Lead proactive investigation and research, technical diagnosis and remediation, and undertake post-change validation, with a view to minimizing customer impact. Provide expert-level application support for at least 1 Oracle Food and Beverage product. Maintain focus on Customer experience.
Working Pattern\:
- Participate in maintenance as required
- Occasional work outside normal standard office hours and ability to partake in an on-call rotation
Success Criteria\:
- Service Request and Change Management tickets actioned, escalated or closed within specified time constraints
- No MIR as a result of routine maintenance tasks
- Change success; Minimize failed releases as a result of engineering mistakes
- All alerts and escalations responded to within SLA
Key Responsibilities & Tasks\:
- Build, configure and optimise Oracle F&B applications on Windows and Linux OS
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, analyse and remediate, F&B applications; advanced level, specialising in at least 1 F&B product/application
- Escalate incidents, when appropriate, to senior engineers
- Participate in application support activities via the ticketing system(s) (currently MOS and CX) prioritising and apportioning effort accordingly
- Maintain the integrity and security of all application infrastructure
- Apply and validate releases, patches and updates accurately as per provided release documentation
- Document recommendations for F&B applications for remediation, environment enhancement, configuration and/or code modifications
- Coordinate, communicate and control releases, fixes and other changes in F&B environments during multi-team collaborations
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships within and outside of Application Managed Services. Work professionally and effectively with Support, Infrastructure Teams, Development, and Customer facing team members.
- Engage, support, and mentor L1/2/Triage remote people and teams
- Take part in the on-call rotation (currently PagerDuty), once trained.
- Ensure that all systems, configuration, maintenance plans, backup schedules etc. are fully documented in agreed upon repositories and this information validated for accuracy
- Ensure that all changes follow the agreed procedures, every change is tracked and executed using company business processes
- Proactively optimize the performance of the live systems to ensure SLAs are met
- Participate in operational support level 1, 2 “triage” teams as required to support the rapid resolution of critical incidents
- Provide clear communication and documentation as required to support “triage” case resolution. Clearly and completely document resolution of incidents in agreed upon ticketing tools.
- Maintain all application monitoring to ensure compliance with all SLAs

Work closely with Oracle's internal business and development teams to drive the technical/functional global implementation of Oracle's applications internally. The main responsibilities may include\: Manage all aspects of internal deployment projects and work closely with the internal teams on status, issues and communications. Define business specifications with the internal user community for the global deployment of the application. Define and drive business specifications for product and component integration points. Map standard application functionality to global/local business specifications. Manage product gaps from business specifications to product enhancement and/or business process change. Gather specifications and drive solutions from a global perspective across the e-Business Suite. Define product enhancements to drive solutions across the e-Business Suite for all customers. Manage product setup definition and configuration along with internal business process teams. Manage all aspect of product rollout and coordination with internal teams. Define specifications for data migration from legacy systems into newer applications. Define specifications for data interfaces between applications for product rollouts. Manage user acceptance testing and transfer of information to internal teams. Provide technical support for implemented applications; diagnosing and reporting bugs, applying patches and upgrades as needed. Establish priorities for feasibility studies, systems design and implementation to develop new and/or modify the company*s information processing systems. Coordinate with functional departments involved to collect system specifications, techniques, and controls. Interact with senior management within Product Development, Business organizations and Global IT.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2-4 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
