Job Description

Role title: Finance Change Manager – Contract Position (6 months)

 

Purpose

 

Today, having selected an Oracle SaaS solution, customers engage with external consulting companies to help them manage system adoption process, with Oracle Consulting typically involved providing on-shore and off-shore system configuration and technical support. Once the project is implemented the solution is run and supported by Oracle, as a managed subscription service.

 

Our Cloud customers don’t want to invest in long and expensive change management programs but want to get fast to the value of the solution by adopting best practices. As a Consulting organisation belonging to Oracle, we share the same interest of keeping things simple. In addition, since Oracle runs the solutions, Oracle knows what every customer does with our solutions, therefore Oracle is in the unique and privileged position to tell all new customers what the real best practices are.

 

The type of services we are envisaging include - but are not limited to – Modern best practice consulting, Process adoption, Change Planning, Transition Management, Training Planning and Management, Evaluation against business goals, Communication of business benefits and benefit tracking.

 

The purpose is not to provide business process consulting and change management per se but to use those competences to focus on Oracle Cloud product adoption.
 

The main responsibilities will include:

 

Project delivery:

  • Advising Oracle customers on Finance Modern Best practice and helping them to adopt Best Practice processes, enabled by Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM.
  • Working with Oracle customers to identify process and organisation impact of the change on their business.
  • Running customer workshops and supporting customers in business transformation enabled by Oracle cloud products.
  • Work as a link between the business stakeholders and Oracle Solution Configuration team, ensuring product configuration meets customer requirements

 

Profile:

 

The ideal candidate will have 8-12+ years of relevant experience with business consulting firms, focusing on ERP and EPM change and transformation, ideally enabled by SaaS products. Knowledge of Oracle ERP and EPM cloud will be an advantage but is not a prerequisite for the role.

 

We are looking for business consultants, with a strong finance and technology change background, who want to further develop their transformation skills by focusing on technology enabled change.

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Experience in Finance change and transformation, ideally enabled by SaaS or system change
  • Understanding of Finance best practice
  • Comfortable running customer workshops
  • Understand system implementation lifecycle, with focus on Business Change, Process adoption, UAT, Training, and post go live support.
  • Proactive with positive attitude to change
  • Ability to learn quickly and participate in strategic consulting projects
  • Proven attitude to work in a virtual team environment and ability to build consensus
  • Knowledge of business applications and IT systems

 

 

Detailed Description and Job Requirements 

 

An experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance, and feedback to develop skills of team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organisations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

8-12 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients.

 

The candidate will be based in Melbourne or Sydney in Australia but may need to travel to support projects as needed (subject to government restrictions around the Covid-19 pandemic)
