Job Description
Asia Global Selling seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member in Asia Global Selling Finance team. This role reports to a senior finance manager leading a team of finance BPs (Business Partners), and is based in Shanghai or Beijing, CN. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon. Amazon Global Selling has been helping individuals and businesses increase sales and reach new customers around the globe. The Global Selling team in China/Asia is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazon’s 12 overseas marketplaces, and supporting local Sellers’ success and growth on the Amazon. The vision of Global Selling is to be the first choice for all types of local business to go globally. The successful candidate will play a critical role to partner Marketing team in CN/Asia Global Selling organization.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner and develop strategic relationship with Asia Global Selling Marketing team in long term strategic planning, annual planning, business reviews, team HC controllership, and ad hoc topics.
• Provide financial partnership and support to ASIA GS Marketing team, lead to build performance output tracker and drive 2B marketing spending ROI model, drive cost efficiency improvement while balancing business objectives.
• Lead marketing spending planning and budgeting process, perform actual spending review by various angles, and make call-outs to business teams on both risks and opportunities.
• Perform HC controllership for marketing team. Work closely with Asia/ISS central FP&A team, HRBP team, HR Recruiting team, and business team leaders, to ensure HC target delivery. Manage Marketing variable HC by productivity and drive reasonable productivity improvement.
• Work closely with Accounting, Tax, Legal, AR/AP teams to ensure marketing expenses are compliant and make suggestions to improve actual spending analysis efficiency. Perform self-audit per request.
• Work closely with Risk control and management team, procurement audit team, compliance team to design and improve overall spending SOP from procurement to pay, educate partner business team to enhance their understanding and knowledge in compliance area, made suggestions to improve the efficiency of implementation, operation and communication.
• Develop financial models to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turn insights into operational measurements, identify and develop key business opportunities, and drive cost efficiency improvement while balancing customer experience.
• Act as Asia Marketing finance POC to standardize marketing reporting, drive financial assessment methodology alignment, benchmark performance, and provide consolidated financial analysis to management team to facilitate strategic decision making.
• Support or lead assigned projects.
