Job Description
Customer Support Services APAC & Japan and working as part of the Global business finance team based in Sydney, this role will be an integral part of the Support management team. It will provide financial expertise and value-added business analysis to support the business partners in the achievement of their strategic goals. This role will also ensure that global standard business practices and transaction processing methods are adopted.
Specific responsibilities include:
Business Partnering/Strategic Leadership
- Truly business finance partner for Japan GVP, China RVP and Asia Pacific Support Sales management for all financial related matters and advice.
- Provide strategic guidance to business and ensure the business has a good understanding of expected financial outcomes, including annual budget assumptions and KPIs growth.
- Collaborate with Japan, China Support business management and drive business KPIs performance and maximize results for each quarter.
Forecasting and Business Analysis
- Manage the bi-weekly forecast submission for Japan Premier Support and ensure accurate forecasting is submitted timely and accurately to HQ headquarter.
- Identify and highlight any risks and opportunities, including internal, external, financial, and non-financial, to the business partners.
- Create high-quality reporting inclusive in-depth analysis of Cloud impact and market dynamics to Support management to help business for right decisions.
- Closely interlock with global finance and business operations for deep-dive business reviews for Japan and China Support management.
Business Practices and Operational Excellence
- Awareness of Oracle business practices and revenue recognition policies to ensure that any exposures or risks to the business are minimized
- Work with divisional business practice teams to ensure that global business practices become standard practice for the Support organization
- Provide timely, impactful and insightful contract base metrics and analysis to business leaders including weekly forecasting, KPIs dashboard, MRPs.
- Engage global finance and business operations for ongoing process improvements, help business benefit from automation, DV tools, and GSSM reporting.
As a member of Oracle's finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results; preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. May perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You may participate in cross functional programs and projects.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficiency in Oracle Financials. Strong analysis and research skills. Ability to partner across functions. 8 years relevant work experience. BS/BA in Accounting/Finance preferred. CPA/MBA desired.
