Job Description

Our Business Value Director team consists of high caliber professionals hired directly from Industry or top consultancy firms that help our most strategic customers define and address their most complex technological and business challenges. We are currently looking for an experienced ERP Transformation Director to join this team.

 

For decades Oracle has supported the largest and most advanced companies in the world, and we are now looking to expand our relationships by hiring a team of senior leaders (based in UK, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Nordics & Germany) with a successful track record in building, driving and delivering technology led, transformation or change programs. With a strong understanding of key issues in the agenda of CFOs & Heads of Supply Chain and how to guide them through complex transformations, we are expecting you to bring first-hand experience in some of the key technologies relevant for ERP, such as: SaaS ERP solutions, Analytics & EPM, AI/ML, Workflow and IoT-Blockchain. Understanding emerging operating models and key Finance, procurement & SCM strategy trends is also essential.

 

As ERP Transformation Director you will be expected to lead pursuits and large ERP transformation Bids in the European market. You must have proven ability to drive engagement and adoption, as this is NOT a general business development position and applicants will need to demonstrate that they have operational experience of having managed transformation programs or restructuring projects either at an SI/consulting firm, Cloud vendor or Client.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds and extends relationships with clients across any industry. Is able to connect with client execs in multiple functions and roles, and especially CHROs
  • Works closely with the Oracle Client Executive (Sales) to identify and develop opportunities for ERP Transformation deals for Strategic clients
  • Leads in developing the ERP penetration strategy with the Client Executives
  • Drives larger bids of higher quality to increase penetration in the Strategic Clients
  • Translates the strategic direction and business objectives established by clients into a workable plan and a bid pursuit strategy
  • Leads multi-LOB bid and engagement teams with senior experts from sales, pre-sales, consulting, and solution architecture to help shape and drive the largest technology opportunities in EMEA
  • Participates in and/ or ensures quality in client engagements with the most strategic  clients and deliver increased client satisfaction and better opportunities for Oracle
  • Leads client discussions to identify and shape new ERP transformation and talent opportunities and sharing examples of Oracle’s points of view, products and latest thinking with clients
  • Prepares and delivers thought-provoking executive proposals to engage customers in long-term business relationships
  • Multi-disciplined: Continually evolves & innovates to bring new ideas for investment and areas of potential to the table
  • Facilitates cross-functional discovery sessions to identify and prioritize key business value drivers
  • Acts as a ERP Transformation expert in account planning sessions and quarterly business reviews
  • Serves as a thought leader on ERP Transformation key trends and where impactful - defines and creates specific collateral and thought leadership pieces including white papers, data sheets, and social media posts
  • Has a mind-set of ‘The Customer defines their success’ - Bonds over their problems not our solutions
  • Acts as key source of market insights into how our clients operate and into client decision making
  • Demonstrates outstanding analytical and problem solving skills; exceptional ability to structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, and present well-supported solutions

 

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years’ combined experience in similar roles in leading organizations with a dedicated focus on ERP transformation. You may have broader ERP experience or have specialised in one of the functional areas of Financials, Procurement, Risk & Compliance, EPM or Supply Chain
  • Could be currently working with consulting/advisory/SI firms or directly with a leading provider of ERP tech solutions
  • Must have a real passion and a deep expertise in ERP strategy and operating models, able to articulate an authoritative vision on ERP key trends covering topics like: digitally enabled supply  chain, agile finance and AI Finance,  Automation
  • Must have a strong understanding of latest regulations, innovations, digital offerings of tech providers and enabling technologies, ideally with a focus on Cloud
  • Has led shaping, planning and execution of large transformational projects or change programs in multiple industries, with a clear focus on ERP transformation
  • Able to gain trust and credibility operating at CxO or Head of BU stakeholder levels
  • Able to work from initial Pursuit, building value proposals and then lead Scoping and Assessments and convert into a Bid. (Engaging a Bid Director)
  • Experienced and comfortable working with as part of a senior Sales team and effective in account / business development
  • Passionate about enabling digital solutions and cloud within the functional boundaries and pushing the limits towards next levels of technology adoption
  • Action oriented, with a passion for making things happen “whatever it takes” and fast execution, but understanding the need for exceptional quality
  • Fluency in English is a must, in other EU languages is a distinct plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret market data, summarizing them in insightful presentations
  • Very strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to orchestrate and collaborate with diverse team members and external parties.
  • Ability to engage and motivate virtual teams and to oversee a variety of work streams simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressured work environment.
  • Outstanding oral and written presentation communication skills

 

Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. 12 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
