Job Description

  • People and technical leadership to Client Technology Analyst team in China.
  • Enable IT strategy and business-IT alignment with regional and global teams.
  • Incident and request service fulfillment, SLA escalation and critical service incident management.
  • Perform root cause analysis and performance reports as required.
  • Project management and contribution on global and regional project execution.
  • Asset management for hardware, software and equipment.
  • IT product/vendor sourcing and procurement management.
  • IT asset inventory and audit.
  • Oversee execution of IT processes and periodic review for improvement.
  • Develop documentation for IT systems, procedure and user guide.
  • Develop a working knowledge of department specific applications.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide user and administrative support for desktop and local server systems.
  • Provide technical guidance to users and management for desktop support and local server systems.
  • Participate in projects or teams and directed by the Manager
  • Assist Manger in development of desktop support and local server systems strategy consistent with corporate infrastructure.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of all relevant hardware and software.
  • Support local manufacturing systems and engineering tool.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate desktop and server related procedures and ensure these procedures are enforced.
  • Develop & maintain appropriate disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide project management for implementations and role-outs.
  • Provide Manager with equipment projections and assist with purchasing.
  • Oversee daily backup procedures are executed and audited as defined by technical leads.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Procurement and vendor management.
  • Management of support and maintenance contracts.
  • Consultancy sourcing and management.
  • Perform system analysis and utilization reports as required.
  • Manage billing and administration across all areas of responsibility.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to other members of the support team and accept responsibility for the team workload.
  • Perform regular performance reviews of local support team, provide updates for manager and initiate/participate in any corrective action.


Qualifications
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working attitude and aptitude to learn new skills and technologies
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of personnel
  • Good written and verbal communication skill in both Chinese and English languages
  • Excellent judgement and strong analytical skills as well as follow-up and organisational skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of PC hardware and associated peripherals.
  • Excellent knowledge of network hardware and management tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of network operating systems and applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft O/S, Server and Desktop
  • Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP & TCP/IP.
  • Ability to work under pressure and performance driven.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Service oriented and committed to provide good service quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, parallel projects.

  • 5 years experience of supervision in a desktop support environment.
  • 5 years experience of network applications / operating systems / hardware.

  • 5 years experience of project management in Infrastructure and network implementation.
