Job Description

Senior HR Consultant – Oracle Australia

Key Role Purpose

The successful applicant will work with a diverse client group to understand all elements of Oracle’s business including goals, objectives and operations in order to contribute sound human resource advice to the management team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and employee coaching, advice, guidance and training
  • HR operational support
  • Performance management and coaching
  • Employee relations and counselling
  • Change management
  • Project leadership and participation
  • Succession planning
  • Assist managers with all aspects of HR including resource planning, Employee relations and Performance Management
  • Complete paperwork as an when required including Parental leave, changes to employee terms and Change Management

Other Responsibilities

  • Involvement with special projects
  • Present HR information to client groups as and when required

Skill Set

Essential

  • Must have full working rights in Australia
  • 3-5+ years of relevant human resource experience
  • Understanding of local Australian Legislation and employment law
  • The ability to diagnose business issues which affect human resource planning, policy and programs
  • Strong interpersonal, cross-cultural, communication & influencing skills
  • The ability to coach and counsel managers and employees to resolve conflicts constructively
  • The ability to work with management to ensure that changes required to meet divisional and local demands are handled effectively
  • A degree in HR, or related discipline
  • Self-starter who is capable of working autonomously.

Partners with business units/divisions in delivering Corporate and Divisional HR policies and programs.

Join a leading HR group consulting with management and employees on HR practices and procedures. Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations in support of corporate ethics and values. Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., manpower planning, salary/bonus/stock review, organizational change, performance management, and training assessment).

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Ability to travel. 2 years generalist experience and BA/BS degree. Experience in an HR specialty a plus.
