Job Description

This role provides a real opportunity for a talented HR professional to play a key role in the development of Oracle’s business in Romania. Oracle is the world's leading enterprise software company - and we are experiencing an important growth in Romania. We are currently seeking an experienced HR Consultant to guide and facilitate HR activities for a number of Shared Service Centers in Oracle Romania. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the HR Consultant will be an integral member of the East Europe HR community.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES\:

  • Contributes to the development and enablement of the business strategy as a human resources consultant, partnering with the business and acting as an employee advocate.
  • Full and active participation in business reviews and planning sessions.
  • Plays an influential role in driving a culture of talent management, working with the business to build leadership capabilities, succession planning, etc.
  • Support the Management Team across the Lines of Business by facilitating/driving change agenda across the business.
  • Ensures effective & appropriate performance management processes occur as appropriate.
  • Effective and timely management of employee relations issues.
  • Provides guidance and advice on compensation issues.
  • Delivers a superior HR service, by providing HR support, communication and guidance in line with Oracle Global and Regional policies and procedures.
  • Coaches and supports managers in areas of policies and people management skills.
  • Drives the roll out of approved policies, procedures and practices.
  • Generates ideas for continuous improvement and implements approved suggestions.

QUALIFICATIONS\:

  • Multinational working experience essential in a dynamic fast paced commercial organization, preferably in the IT industry
  • Experience working within a complex, global business environment essential
  • Experience working with internal applications and tools
  • Style of operation\: confident and self assured person who can deliver tough messages/constructive criticism in a positive and diplomatic fashion
  • Quickly able to establish respect & credibility
  • Solid understanding of Romanian labor legislation
  • Solid HR specialist knowledge and experience
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent English skills
  • Self-confidence, takes initiative, is empathic & has a feeling for roles within a big, international company
  • Thinks strategically, sharply, independently & creatively

Partners with business units/divisions in delivering Corporate and Divisional HR policies and programs.

Join a leading HR group consulting with management and employees on HR practices and procedures. Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations in support of corporate ethics and values. Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., manpower planning, salary/bonus/stock review, organizational change, performance management, and training assessment).

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Ability to travel. 2 years generalist experience and BA/BS degree. Experience in an HR specialty a plus.
