Job summary
At Amazon, our HR Regional Partners are known for their knowledge of HR programs, processes and tools. They act as the frontline consultant to people managers and employees to create a positive employee experience, offering consistent HR advice on people matters. They operate and are seen as subject matter experts offering a strong and compelling point of view around HR related matters, thus building credibility. They are committed to collaboration with multiple HR Business Partners, other HR stakeholders and people managers across the various businesses in the region. A key area of focus for the HRP team is to drive manager education on important people programs, policies, tools and processes and help them becoming more self-sufficient. Whilst doing this, the HRPs are continuously raising the bar on harmonizing practice across a geography and sharing best practices.
The HR Partner Manager oversees this activity for the designated region in AUS/CN/ASEAN Countries and constantly evaluates customer feedback and needs by taking proactive and reactive actions as needed. The Manager also analyzes the need for client related HR project support and other proactive services beyond reactive requests. The role is also responsible to hire, manage and develop individual long-term careers.


Key job responsibilities
The HRP Manger will manage a HRP team cross Australia, China, Singapore, Philippines and other ASEAN countries. The role will have a strong focus on both operational delivery and effective team management, ensuring outstanding levels of service and support to people managers and employees.
Successful candidates will have experience in working and leading HR Generalists teams, in addition to expertise in HR processes and systems.
  • Hire and onboard HRPs and making sure they receive optimal training and development to provide excellent HR support to customers
  • Partner with HR leadership, HR Center of Expertise and HR Services to guarantee the best HR solutions for our customers
  • Act as stewards of the employee experience and Amazon “culture keepers”
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders in the Region (Country Leaders, Directors) acting as a trusted partner for HR partner services delivered.
  • Foster engagement and support team members’ career development, identifying training and coaching opportunities
  • Identify larger risks on complex or sensitive investigations, partners with General Counsel as needed
  • Drive consistency and simplification on change initiatives, talent management process, developing toolkits and communications that help managers to be self-sufficient.
