Job Description
The IT Principal Consultant will be supporting Oracle Database Administration in Oracle Managed Cloud Services. You will be responsible for managing customer environments, and resolving any technical issues in non-production and production environments. You will participate in scheduled project meetings with customers, the implementation team, and project managers and ensure the project is on track. In addition, you will be looking towards improving technical process and putting together new process that may help Oracle to provide the best customer support.
Preferred Qualifications\:
- Oracle Database Administration 10.x, 11.x, 12 (RAC, SingleNode, Exadata, ASM, CRS, RMAN, Refresh, Restore, Recover, Change Management, Upgrades)
- Database performance expertise
- Experience in managing 24x7 critical production environments
- Experience in managing Multi-Terabyte DB's service both ERP and DW systems, specifically with PeopleSoft, E-Business Suite, Hyperion and OBIEE.
- Oracle Public Cloud Fundamentals / Architecture. IaaS / PaaS. DBCS, DBaaS, ExaCS
- Knowledge of migration strategy or hands on migration from legacy hosted onto Oracle Public Cloud or other cloud providers will be an added advantage
!|!Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.
As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
