· Perform shift DevOps coverage managing patching, update, and migration in Cloud Service.
· Provide on-call support 24/7/365 for patching, update, and migration in Cloud Services.
· Follow standard operating procedures and policies in administering the change requests.
· Apply patches and major releases across the Oracle Database and Fusion Middleware install base. Manage changes to the environment using existing Change Management best practices and automation tools.
· Coordinate with support, network, Server, Storage OPs and other teams to ensure availability and reliability of the service to meet business demands
· Experience with GitHub and GitLab for Source Control.
· Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. Terraform, Ansible, Docker.
· Contribute to the Oracle DevOps through Java, Python, and bash scripts.
· Support the Oracle Public Cloud service by triaging customer issues and developing corrective action plans to negate potential service disruptions.
· Mentor, train, and coach the junior employees.
· Collaborate with product engineering teams providing feedback on product quality and or functionality.
· Optimize IT operations using the latest tools and products from Oracle and the Opensource community.
Mandatory Requirements:
· Very experienced in managing Oracle products within an enterprise IT operation.
· Expertise in the areas of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Data Guard (DG) and Recovery Manager (RMAN).
· Experience managing enterprise class applications servers e.g. WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Oracle Application Server.
· Experience with Linux operating systems and virtualization.
· Expert level proficiency with performance tuning of the databases, operating systems, and storage. Ability to interpret Oracle Database AWR reports or Oracle Enterprise Manager performance metrics.
· BS Computer Science or equivalent qualification from a reputed Institute.
· Excellent team, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Preferred Requirements:
· Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies including WebLogic and Identity Management.
· Prior operational experience in a SaaS or PaaS IT environment.
· Knowledge of networking concepts associated with server load balancers and web content accelerators etc.
As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
