Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic IT Manager who can effectively lead and collaborate with Global Team members, Onsite Operations, Customer Management Teams and the Customer. This role is for Managed Cloud Services, working with a major client in the Financial Industry. While you will be located in Melbourne, your primary team will be based in India.
This is a newly created position and you will be working alongside another manager. Therefore, we are looking for someone with experience in handling large global teams in offshore-onsite model.
Further to the above, we are looking for someone with a proven track record of handling large deployments of Oracle Engineered systems, Oracle Middleware, Oracle Database. While you don’t need to have worked in all of these, it is mandatory that you have been involved in either DB, Middleware or Infrastructure deployments.
You must be ready to work in flexible timings to meet customer expectations and may need to work in Non-Business Hours to engage with offshore teams, but you’ll be given the autonomy to split your day as your see fit.
The ideal person will be an expert in IT Operations Management, running 24x7 IT operations in Onshore-Offshore model.
Duties

· Ensure all systems are monitored and appropriate action is taken by Operations Team
· Perform regular quality assurance checks over all aspects of the operations function
· Develop technical manager in people management skills
· Perform skip level reviews with Technical staff to ensure consistent and timely messaging
· Ensure the Operations team follow all processes for change, incident and general operational tasks
· Perform proactive analysis of the environment to ensure optimal performance and service

As a Global operations Manager, you will need to understand diverse working groups, regional work culture and be able to collaborate effectively.

Successful track record in applications implementation and as a manager. Expert knowledge of all applications within a business area; plus some knowledge of other applications.
