Job Description

Work with HGBU European team to provide enterprise-wide, system network and Oracle Database Administration services to for on-premise customers

we are looking for a senior DBA with +10 years of experience on Opera environment including single server, dataguard and Grid  environment.

 

As a Technical Implementation Consultant III, you are in charge to install HGBU products and migrate/upgrade versions.

Database implementations and maintenance is part of daily activities.

 

About The Job

 

As part of ETT team, you will be assigned to european (mainly) and global projects for HGBU customers.

You will be continually challenged and directly contribute to the success of our Oracle Hospitality service offerings, every day, working closely with customers, products and Infrastructure partners.

We work on different configurations including enterprise environments as Single Server, Dataguard and RAC.

We support our customers on miscellanous projects for installation/migration/upgrade of Oracle Hospitality OPERA Property Management software

Knowledge of Oracle rdbms 9,10,11,12 ,19 and Weblogic 12c is required, OCP certification is a plus.

Analysis and Troubleshooting skills complete the profile

Fluent in English is mandatory, additional European languages is a plus and

 

in this role you will be required :

 

Manage database reliability and performance aspects for hotel products

Own the upgrade and migration of customer data between different versions

Analyze, document solutions and implement best practices for our hotel products.

Work on observability of relevant database metrics and make sure we reach our database objectives.

Provide database expertise to engineering teams (for example through reviews of database migrations, queries and performance optimizations).

 

 

 

Ideal Qualification/ Experience

 

BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 10 years of hand on experience in administering Oracle single node / RAC RDBMS environments.

Expert knowledge into daily administration activities such as Datapump Export/Import, Database migration/cloning, RMAN,

Data Guard replication, backup/restore, patching, maintenance, tuning, upgrades

Ability to provide senior-level technical support on solving complex issues requiring rapid resolution related to Oracle RDBMS solutions.

Methodical approach to troubleshooting complex problems

Defining and documenting technical architecture of complex and highly scalable products

Most importantly, the aptitude to be a good team player and the willingness to learn and implement new Cloud technologies

Senior-level implementation professional who performs high-profile, complex, or very large implementations.

Analyze business needs and provide recommendations on how to program the product hierarchy to address the customer’s specifications. Write custom reports and exports, and make modifications to the solution to meet customer's needs. Assist with end-user training and take the hotel live on the system after everything has been configured and everyone is trained. Mentor and develop lower level Implementation Consultants. May assist in a presales capacity to help drive sale.

5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to area of focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
