Job Description

We are looking for a strong candidate to manage portfolio of projects within the EMEA region, focused primarily on overseeing consultants in Oracle Food and Beverage product delivery, ensuring the quality of project deliverables, and acting as liaison to customer leadership on the project team. 

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work under minimal supervision and demonstrate proactive work habits when overseeing the activities of Oracle Food and Beverage Consultants, and achieve results through strong subject matter expertise, leadership, collaboration, and teamwork. The ability to communicate effectively with team members and others within the customer organization is a must, and you will often coach other customers or partner personnel on best practices and technical issues and is expected to be capable of delivering a tailored message to C-level customer or partner executives and providing layman’s explanation to non-technical customers as required. Typically, this role will be responsible for multiple projects typically up to around 50 days effort and over a few months’ duration. Organization, prioritization, and effective time management are essential to delivering to meet the needs of multiple customers across different projects.

Role Summary

The Oracle Food and Beverage Project Portfolio Manager’s primary purpose is to provide leadership on planning, staffing, and executing projects associated with Food and Beverage Consulting engagements. You will work in conjunction with Consulting Sales Representatives, Delivery Managers, Resource Management, and other Team Leaders to deliver Oracle Food and Beverage solutions to our customers.

 

Your mission will be to become the local face of multiple Food and Beverage implementations and orchestrate delivery from the delivery team by:

         Owning the delivery scope into a customer’s business

         Being the delivery ‘face’ (most likely via Zoom) of Oracle, managing delivery risks, issues, escalations and delivery progress.

         Own the “delivery interlock” with the Delivery team, Professional Services and the customer.

         Supporting the Sales team in positioning and selling of potential projects in your portfolio.

·       Working as a leader for Food & Beverage projects in your portfolio, you will be part of a small team of EMEA based project leads. Collaboration with your peers and the leadership team will be critical to help define and shape this delivery model.

·       On a day-to-day basis you will lead a number of concurrent deliveries, to continue the successful growth of the Food & Beverage business for Oracle. Projects typically include implementation of hardware and Simphony Cloud POS into restaurants, hotels, stadiums, cruise etc

·       You will be focused on customer success and will be results oriented. You will have the gravitas to engage with senior leaders and discuss delivery and business challenges.

·       Bring entrepreneurial & innovative flare, with the tenacity to develop and prove delivery ideas independently, then share these as examples to improve the efficient of the delivery of these solutions across EMEA.

·       Experience of rapidly deploying food and beverage solutions into customer environments

·       Orchestration of project delivery teams to deliver successfully into customers, large and small.

·       Working effectively across internal, external, culturally diverse, lines of business to define and deliver customer success.

 


What behaviours do you need to demonstrate?

·       Orchestrate delivery across businesses by communicating, liaising, and negotiating using appropriate methods to ensure efficient project delivery.

·       Ability to sanity check and take accountability for delivery scope

·       Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations and escalations.

·       Present to external customer stakeholders and lead delivery team meetings.

Mid-level implementation project professional who manages moderately complex relationships with client site during entire Implementation phase. Tracks and coordinates all moving pieces of the Implementation from start to end. 1st level of escalation for onsite installation team.

Manages Implementation Service deliverables throughout installation project including milestones and project schedule. Develops and maintains consistent standards for project delivery. Reviews project proposals. Confers with implementation team, management or account management to locate the appropriate parties to provide technical advice. Creates and communicates status reporting for both internal and external purposes. Manages project closure and handoff to Account Manager and Help Desk.

5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years project management experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
