Your Role and Responsibilities
Job Description

• Implementation Specialist is an exemplary subject matter expert to design and build leading-edge solutions for IBM’s clients.
• Candidates will participate in developing complex solutions:- design, implement, troubleshoot, upgrade and fix bugs as SME in his/her areas of practice.
• They bring experience and strategic insight spanning from Architecture, Design and implementation leadership to client facing solution skills which are among the best in the industry.
• This role is crucial to implementing cutting edge Hybrid Cloud Capabilities and Solutions for clients worldwide specially using Red Hat technologies.
• The role would involve working with highly skilled cloud architects in taking up challenging internal IBM projects in order to develop and execute complex solutions for IBM clients worldwide.
• He or she will prioritize building critical intellectual capital that may eventually be leveraged by the wider IBM audience through development of best in class reusable assets often using bleeding edge technologies on “First of a Kind” projects.

The success of this role would be benchmarked globally with industry peers. Excellent practice and knowledge on Cloud based automation software/Script development and tools, consummate thought leadership, constant innovation and contribution to development of industry standards would be some of the key result areas in addition to meeting business metrics for the respective areas.


Required Professional and Technical Expertise

• Must be certified from one or more of Red Hat Cloud technologies (OpenStack, Openshift, Cloud Forms, Ansible, etc.) and hands-on experience in implementing solutions using these technologies.
• Exposure and understanding in core tenants to be considered when designing, developing and deploying to a Cloud.
• Knowledge of other Cloud Providers e.g. IBM, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or VMware
• Confident enough to leverage Cloud Platforms.
• Proven understanding on Software Defined Environments and Pattern Based deployments (specially Ansible).
• Understanding on DevOps and CICD pipeline methodologies.
• Proven skills on one or more of the above technologies with an ability to quickly build and demonstrate Proof of Concepts and Proof of Technologies and contribute to Technology Innovation and Automation projects
• Proven communication skills

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
Lead the design, implementation, and expansion of organization’s enterprise computing and cloud computing solutions providing high performance services using Red Hat with focus on one or more of:

• Cloud Management Platforms - Design and implement a robust cloud management implementation including orchestration and catalog capabilities.
• Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Services - Design and implement cloud infrastructure services to support rapid application deployment by using HEAT, Blueprints, UrbanCode, Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, and Ansible based Scripts/Cookbooks/Recipes.
• Concepts on RESTful Web Services, SOA, XML, JSON, Node.js, PHP and one or more software development models.
• Large-scale distributed systems architecture, Eventual consistency, Relational and non-relational databases (no-SQL).
