Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Opening and closing of the In Room Dining Department
  • Processing of guest orders
  • Preparation of In Room Dining tables and trays
  • Serving of food and beverage
  • Clearing of tables and trays from guest rooms and hallways to the Stewarding Area
  • Cash integrity and cash out functions
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of one year recent (in the past five years) experience as a Server 
  • “Serving it Right” and “Food Safe” certifications 
  • Proficiency in the use of a POS system 
  • Completely fluent in the English language, both written and verbal 
  • Clear, precise, professional and helpful telephone manner 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to use time efficiently 
  • A team player with proven success in relationship building 
  • A high level of responsibility and commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests expectations 
  • Broad liquor and wine knowledge
  • Must be recommended for Front of House on SRI; WOO, Relator (Team), and Responsibility themes must be at predictive or highly predictive levels 
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation
  • Physical ability to perform the requirements of the job, including:
    • Standing/walking for extended periods of time
    • Performing repetitive work
    • Lifting and carrying full trays

NOTE:  The position of In Room Dining Server is physically demanding. The successful applicant must be physically capable of standing/walking for 90% of shift, performing repetitive work, as well as lifting and carrying heavy loads.
