Preferred qualifications

B.S. or Master's degree in Computer Engineering (or equivalent)

5+ years' experience in software development with Java

Experience with JavaScript

Experience with RESTful Web Services

Understanding of HTTP, Internet protocols, web browsers

SQL database experience including schema design and development of efficient queries

Experience working with RDBMS like Oracle, MySQL, etc.

Experience with Git and/or other source control
-
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.

Knowledge and experienced with key design patterns and object oriented programming
-
Experience in Test Driven Development and coaching other engineers.

Passionate and experienced in coaching and mentoring other engineers

Great problem-solving skills and ability to abstract functional requirements

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Ability to efficiently manage multiple task

About the job
As a Senior Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer in this team, you will be responsible for development and maintenance of cutting edge user interface technologies that are part of OA Framework. You will be working with the latest HTML, CSS, XML and JSON standards and on AJAX interactions for Enterprise applications in Oracle E-Business Suite. You will also work with Oracle customers in multiple geographies in analyzing their issues and resolving them. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be expected to communicate clearly, work productively with minimal supervision, think creatively and independently, and collaborate with team members in diverse functions (engineers, product managers, technical writers). Excellent communication skills in technical and non-technical contexts and situations are required.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
