JOB PROFILE

 

Junior Legal Counsel for Litigation/Dispute Resolution Team, EMEA

 

General Function :      Representing Oracle and discussing with customers from specific EMEA Countries with respect to any disputes leading to non payment of the outstanding debts, managing the interface between Collections Teams (based in Romania), Sales Teams (based in EMEA) and such customers, liaising with Sales Teams and local country legal teams on collections and litigation matters, reviewing and advising on the dispute resolution process administered from Romania, reviewing of complex matters related to customer’s issues with the provided services, drafting legal letters to EMEA customers and establishing practices and processes with local law firms for following up on litigation process

  1. Responsibilities

 

    1. Management Functions

 

  • Leading discussions with customers based in EMEA Countries on outstanding debts
  • Liaising with Collections‘ team managers in Romania regarding the collections process and interface to local EMEA Legal teams for escalated outstanding debts
  • Liaising with local country EMEA legal teams to provide coordinated and aligned legal advice and commercial strategy with regard to such collections matters
  • Providing training and updates to Collections teams and EMEA legal team, as necessary
  • Managing the relationship with identified external law firms for local country collection

 

    1. Legal Functions

 

  • Ongoing review of Collections process as administered by the Collections team in Romania
  • Review of outstanding debts passed from Collections to Legal under existing agreed procedures
  • Agreeing process for managing the collection of escalated outstanding debts with local country legal teams, including identification of local collections organisations
  • Drafting of initial, generic, legal claim letters
  • Working direct with, and managing locally, agreed collections organisations regarding the collection of escalated outstanding debts

  • Fluency in English and at least one of major European language (ideally French, German or Russian)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
