Key Account Manager - CC BJ-016817

  • Identify, evaluate and select distributors to partner with EW, then manage and evaluate their performance and make recommendations on continued partnership with the distributor. Identify stakeholders, monitor the competitors, gain distributor support and provide input to the strategy to secure a bid and tender. Responsible for distributor inventory management.

  • Translate Business Unit strategy into local/regional action plan. Monitor sales activity, plan and prepare forecasts by account, product and therapy for the given territory as well as propose expenses for meetings and/or customer activities including Proctor visits. Manage relationships with regional and national Key Opinion Leaders. Create new business opportunities and target key accounts with new customers while increasing adoption and utilization successfully. Drive sales of new products to market.

  • Ensure that clinicians are provided with adequate technical, product and in-service support and that sites are trained properly on procedures. Answer technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes

  • Partner with management to develop and provide input on the company's marketing, product launch strategy, and pricing. Support marketing by reporting data (Data collection, competitor and customer activities) and execute marketing strategy. Prepare complex analysis for accurate targeting and planning by account, product and therapy and propose recommendations on new approaches within assigned territory

  • Create Sales Monthly reports outlining sales activities, product promotions, competition products and price, tenders, etc.

  • Other incidental duties

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field or of previous related experience

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards

  • Considered expert within the sales organization

  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience across multiple functions and within the industry and related industries

  • Healthcare compliance / product compliance

  • Extensive product / market / industry knowledge

  • Extensive understanding of cardiovascular anatomy (HVT), pathology and physiology (HVT & CC) relevant to EW medical products as it relates to the business

  • Extensive understanding of the clinical value and application of Edwards products, and ability to articulate values to customers

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Ability to build profitable relationships

  • Ability to effectively deploy the distribution strategy in their territory

  • Ability to manage KOL and build strong relationships

  • Serves as consultant to management

  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel (including KOL) on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations, distributors and customers
