Database Lifecycle Management is a new cloud native service, providing a comprehensive solution for DBAs to automate the process required to manage the Oracle Database
Lifecycle. It eliminates manual and time consuming tasks related to security compliance, patching and configuration management.

About You

• You are an experienced cloud engineer with a proven track record of delivering high-scale, high-impact solutions
• You have excellent communication skills
• You can clearly explain complex technical concepts
• You can work with a fast-growing, action-oriented team of software engineers, test automation engineers, product managers and UX designers to build out new service
• You have experience in using Agile methodologies to self-organize and deliver value at a rapid pace

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience shipping scalable, cloud native distributed systems
• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Designing architectures that span many products, enable high availability and scalability
• Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)
• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts (data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms)
• Proficient in Java/J2EE, SQL and other Distributed systems (Spark, Kafka etc.)
• Working experience in REST services, Maven, Terraform, Jenkins
• Experience in Oracle Database
• Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshoot issues when they arise

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
