Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager (Market Conduct), the Manager will undertake the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for processing licensing applications for insurance intermediaries
- Participate in conducting inspection and monitoring insurance intermediaries’ compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
- Carry out investigation on possible breaches of the Insurance Ordinance and related legislation, and misconduct of insurance intermediaries
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management to facilitate the administration and performance of the statutory functions of IA
(Remark: The specific role of each Manager may vary depending on the job assignments.)
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in finance, insurance, economics, law, accounting or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience in licensing, compliance, enforcement, audit, legal or regulatory field
- Knowledge of the local regulatory requirements, insurance products, industry practices and market dynamics relating to the insurance business
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
- Self-motivated, independent, patient and able to work under pressure
Appointment Terms
A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the successful candidates’ experience and qualifications on a 2-year contract, depending on the posting, will be offered.
