Reporting to the Senior Manager, Non-life Business, the incumbent will assume the following:

Key Responsibilities

• Perform prudential supervision of authorized non-life insurers
• Participate in conducting on-site inspection and monitoring non-life insurers' compliance with regulatory requirements
• Support initiatives to promote the non-life insurance market of Hong Kong
• Other duties as assigned by senior management to facilitate the administration of the statutory functions of IA

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, insurance, law or actuarial science. Qualified CPA or actuary is recommended
• Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience
• Work experience in legislation and regulation formulation in a local or overseas government or insurance regulatory agency is valued
• Knowledge of the local regulatory requirements, insurance products, industry practices and market dynamics relating to the insurance business
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation and project management skills with sound business sense, and able to work in a team in a collaborative environment
• Strong sense of responsibility and be able to work under pressure
• Good command of English, with Chinese language ability will be an advantage
