How will you make an impact?

The Project Management team plays a critical part in the successful initiation, management, and execution of projects while maintaining strong client relations to promote future and continued partnership.

What will you do?

  • Manage a combination of active medium/large projects with minimal supervision and align with R & D best practices and governance using individual performance and Project Coordinator direct reports.
  • Communicate regularly with Process Development Services (PDS) or Commercial colleagues, modeling appropriate team principles and partnering to meet project, functional, and team objectives.
  • Provide input and direct the business manager with regards to the scope of work, potential timelines, required equipment, and Monitor R&D development budgets to ensure they are consistent with the status of the project scope.

The Project Manager’s responsibility is to manage multiple and potentially highly complex Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) projects independently in line with the company’s best practices and governance. Project Managers must communicate regularly with PDS or Commercial colleagues, modeling appropriate team principles and partnering to meet project, functional, and team objectives. The Project Manager is the primary point of contact for clients and internal resources to help drive project success.

How will you get here?

Education

Minimum BS – chemistry or related field; Ph.D. strongly preferred; however, a commensurate combination of education and experience will be considered

Experience

  • BS – Minimum ten (10) years of early-phase pharmaceutical development experience or;
  • Ph.D. – early-phase pharmaceutical development experience preferred
  • Previous experience with Project Management (PMP certification not required but preferred)
  • Skilled and versed in standard computer software (MS Office, ChemDraw)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and be highly organized
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a team setting
  • Familiar with pharmaceutical cGMP procedures, policies, and systems
