About the Role

As a Principal Marketing Analytics Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for analyzing a wide set of marketing data to come up with recommendations and insights that will be used in executive decision making. The pace is fast, the data voluminous and complicated, and the visibility is high! You will help to both determine and measure major goals and initiatives across the marketing function and key product areas and strive to help improve process, systems, and dashboards to support these initiatives.

Responsibilities

You will partner with analytics & functional executives and leaders across marketing to come up with innovative analytical solutions to the latest business questions.

Conduct ad hoc analysis on a wide variety of business questions and offer insightful recommendations to the business.

You will deliver advanced insights to help marketers achieve their objectives and unlock business opportunities.

You will build business requirement documentation, prioritize work for marketing and expand the use cases and capabilities in our analytics tools.

Develop and implement a set of dashboards and comprehensive data models, utilizing Oracle Analytics Cloud to provide our global teams the capability to analyze their performance real-time.

You enjoy presenting to and working with highly motivated executives and driving virtual teams to alignment, deadlines and delivering results

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and MS in economics, marketing, business, computer science, data science, statistics or engineering fields preferred.

10+ years experience in marketing analysis for large, complex B2B and/or Tech companies.

10+ years working with and developing in sophisticated BI frameworks and environments.

You have built reporting and analysis for, using a variety of business analytics tools. Tools include, but are not limited to SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Analytics, OBIEE, Oracle Analytics and Data Visualization, Adobe Analytics, Eloqua, Endeca + experience any similar reporting tools such as Tableau or Cognos would be valuable  

You have worked with SQL, Python, and other tools to manipulate data and build custom queries and dashboards. 

Demonstrated use of marketing data science techniques tailored to meet business needs.

You are comfortable presenting and discussing metrics and recommendations with senior executives as well as technical developers

You have experience building business requirement documentation for large projects and small enhancements to expand capabilities in our BI tools.

Responsible for digital marketing of products or services in support of Oracle's demand generation strategy using tools to optimize marketing strategies and enhance the customer experience with new technology platforms and innovations.

Assist in the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness. Executes online marketing programs such as search optimization (paid and natural search), affiliated marketing, social marketing, and viral marketing to create buzz and inbound demand responses. Drive traffic which ultimately generates sales pipeline. Translates ideas used in demand generation into promotional marketing campaigns and advertising personas. Ensures localized content is leveraged for all digital marketing channels including, web, social, paid advertising and outbound emails Conducts analysis for programs effectiveness and uses the findings for market site enhancements and to leverage optimization of all digital programs. Collects and analyzes digital/internet/website/mobile data and statistics which monitor and measure the performance of digital traffic and activities to support marketing and campaign optimization, lead generation for sales, product and engineering teams for continuous improvements to product and data driven decision making. Applies statistics-based market intelligence to business issues and formulates recommendations on optimizing the user experience and help drive business outcomes. Monitors and analyzes site performance and reviews tracking metrics to provide solutions to increase search engine ranking and creating marketing personas/audience profiles. Researches and evaluates new technology trends and identifies new optimization opportunities. Manage online advertising relationship and local social media agencies.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8+ years relevant work experience. BA/BS degree or equivalent. Proficiency in web analytics applications, strong database skills and technical understanding of website architecture and mobile platforms.
