Job Description

Oracle Public Sector is looking for a highly experienced SaaS Presales Solutions Consultant to provide functional support to prospective Federal Civilian and DoD clients and customers, while ensuring customer satisfaction, with minimal supervision.  Act as a functional resource for less experienced Sales Consultants.  Develop and deliver high quality Oracle presentations and demonstrations.  Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction, and overall Oracle solutions.  Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.  Develop and manage reference sites through high quality functional, professional client relationships.

 

Overview\:

·       This is a full time, strategic, presales consulting role working with decision makers and end users who are evaluating various Oracle solutions for their technology and applications needs.

·       The right person must be able to effectively communicate and engage with potential customers, quickly determine their business challenges, and establish strong, benefit driven, presentations and demonstrations to recommend Oracle’s SaaS based solutions.

·       Extensive software training will be provided as needed.

 

As an Oracle Presales Solutions Consultant, you will partner directly with the sales team to present and sell Oracle SaaS solutions to our customers.  This is not a quota carrying sales role and does not involve any outbound or inbound sales prospecting, however, it does involve the ability to influence decision makers regarding their business applications, and the ability to act as an Oracle advocate during client interactions.

 

·       The best solutions consultants have joined us from a variety of backgrounds\: operations practitioners (industry users); systems integrators; pre and post sales consulting; trainers of Oracle’s apps products; business analysts; users of Oracle’s on-premise applications.

·       You will have the opportunity to partner with our Federal customers to understand and support their mission, and solve real world business problems.

·       Advise the team on strategic messaging and competitive differentiators.

·       Craft unifying storyboards for large, cross-functional opportunities.

·       Understanding of unique Federal HR and Financial business requirements is essential.

·       This is a virtual position working remotely from a home office, with travel required for client presentations; high preference for candidates located in the greater Washington DC area.

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying Oracle SaaS solutions to client business operations.  Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations, demonstrations, and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sales lifecycle.

 

As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert, for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers, while ensuring customer satisfaction.   Acts as a functional resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants.  Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions.  Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants.  Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations.  Leads all aspects of the technical sales process.  Advises internal and external clients on overall architecture of solutions.

 

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation.  Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives.  Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner.  3 years vendor sales and marketing experience.  7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools.  Ability to implement the most advanced product features.  Thorough knowledge of system and application design.

 

In depth knowledge of competitors.  Demonstrated project management skills.  Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.  Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.  Ability to travel as needed.  BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
