Material Management Executive, Purchasing

Job Description
  • Acquire and provide aircraft parts to support the operations of the company under minimum supervision
  • Coordinate with Material Planning and Material Control teams for replenishment, provisioning and shortage handling
  • Source aircraft parts in the market that could fulfil shortage demands to meet target
  • Issue Inventory Requests using HAECO Material Control System for internal approvals and place Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Review and handle incorrect invoices, shipping errors, orders cancellation and replacement of materials not in compliance with company specifications
  • Coordinate with Procurement to develop and expand vendor base for all assigned materials and maintain continuous contracts with these sources
  • Coordinate with Procurement to monitor and manage consignor and supplier performance
  • Coordinate with Stores & Logistics to monitor and manage forwarder performance
  • Coordinate with Production, Technical Services and Quality departments on parts interchangeability approvals
  • Generate/review reports from HAECO Material Control System and the databank as required for material analysis and provide recommendations
  • Review processes and make recommendations as to where savings in cost or better delivery can be realized
  • Perform supervisory duties
  • Perform other duties as assign



  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience for Higher Diploma / Degree holder in relevant disciplines or equivalent
  • Good communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Good PC skills with Microsoft Office applications preferred
  • Strong supply chain and purchasing knowledge
  • Good aircraft spares sourcing process knowledge
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good supervisory skills

Candidate with less / no experience will be considered as Assistant Material Management Executive, Purchasing
