Oracle Manufacturing and Distribution is responsible for distribution of network and desktop hardware, software and marketing material to Oracle’s internal and external customers worldwide. The Role

As a member of the M&D Operations team, the Materials Handler is responsible for inventory management, materials handling, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations.  Specific duties include the following:

• Receiving, inspecting incoming and outgoing materials, and shipping/distribution of parts
• Processing orders according to priority set by manager in order to meet customer requirements and target dates
• Coordinating with operations team to ensure all scheduled orders are picked and processed in a timely manner
• Ensuring accurate, timely processing of receiving and return materials and kitting jobs
• Replenishing stock, maintaining inventory, and moving items to increase picking efficiency
• Operating Warehouse Equipment; Forklift, Pallet Jack, Cherry Picker
• Ability to drive and operate company vehicles; van and box truck
• Performing cycle count and resolving inventory discrepancies
• Prioritizing materials based on current schedule/needs
• Verifying and ensuring materials/supplies are properly labeled and stored
• Returning materials to warehouse locations after receipt using material handling equipment, including forklifts
• Creating and updating processes and instructions, to ensure efficiency and business requirements are met
• Following all safety guidelines by maintaining a clean safe warehouse
• Consistently demonstrating and incorporating principals of safety for self and others within daily activities
• Performing data entry and system transactions using Oracle applications
• Ensuring highest quality product deliveries within established lead times
• Providing daily status updates and reports for management review
• Identifying areas for process improvements, cost savings, and process efficiencies
• Assisting team with various projects as needed

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Currently pursuing AA, with a desire to pursue BA/BS
• Basic PC skills: Word, Excel, etc.
• 0-1 years of experience in high volume warehouse environment
• Driven, self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Dedicated/reliable with positive, “can do” attitude
• Proficient in shipping processes and specifications both domestically and internationally
• Ability to constantly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs. 
• Ability to drive an automatic vehicle (truck or van) and operate any material handling equipment

Responsible for shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts supplies, and equipment.

Responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping of inventory material. Assembles kitted inventory. Provides measurements of warehouse processes such as cycle counting. Ensures processes meet or exceed ISO needs. May lift heavy items and may operate a forklift. Assists with warehouse projects as needed.

Works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is needed. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Work involves minimal problem resolution following detailed instructions. Computer literate. BA/BS degree. 0 - 1 years of experience in high volume warehouse environment. Proficient in shipping processes and specifications both domestically and internationally. Self motivated. Attention to detail.
