Oracle is the global Information technology leader offering a comprehensive portfolio cloud services. With rapid adoption of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to host both Oracle and Non-Oracle workloads, we are looking for experienced candidates with proven skills around application migration and service transitioning. You will be joining a high-profile team of specialists covering JAPAC region.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Go to person for application migration and service transitioning domain for Oracle JAPAC cloud teams
  • Collaborate with Oracle internal LOBs and external organisations – such as Cloud Sales and Engineering teams, Cloud Lift Services, Oracle Consulting or Oracle Partner delivery organisations
  • Engage with customers and partners to position technical options to migrate Oracle / Non-Oracle / packaged / custom applications. Discuss quick and risk-free migration and service transitioning approach
  • As migration domain subject matter expert in JAPAC, lead selected customer engagements and manage customer expectations on all aspects of application migration and service transitioning during sales cycles
  • Contribute to prospect and customer qualification, discovery, solution design, RFP response, solution preparation/demonstration and overall sales cycle management
  • Deliver executive-level presentations and demonstrations as appropriate
  • Develop and drive programmatic go-to-market and business development strategies to build pipeline

 

 

Skills:

  • Ideal candidate has a strong background in Service Delivery, Service Operations or Service Transition Management - obtained ideally, whilst working in the capacity of Managed Services for a renowned Managed Services delivery organisation.
  • Applied technical architecture knowledge of horizontal Oracle ERP/HCM and CX systems, such as E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, or JD Edwards, as well as deep knowledge of other business-critical non-Oracle application workloads.
  • Oracle applications technology experience is desirable
  • Successfully project-managed several business-critical application transition projects, e.g. multi-phase go-lives, service transitioning with upgrades, platform migrations and disaster recovery instantiations and testing.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of on-premises infrastructure design and administration, spanning across server, hypervisor, networking, and storage
  • Prior experience and knowledge of migrating on-premises application and infrastructure to public cloud services provider.
  • Ability to come up with an approach, technical design and project plan to migrate on-premises application & infrastructure to cloud. Spanning across data migration, application migration and service switch over.
  • Be the "leading voice in the room" - i.e. ability to articulate the value / differentiators and guide customers in planning and executing service transitioning to OCI.
  • Deep awareness and applied knowledge of the various pillars of Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Ability to speak the "language of the customer” and to connect and establish relationships with C-level executives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, succinct documentation skills and able to present effectively.
  • Clear and timely communication on progress and help needed and status of opportunity pursuits.
  • Work is non routine and complex, involving the application of advanced technical/ business skills.

 

 Qualifications:

  • +10-years’ experience in one of the following domains of expertise:
    • Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operations and/or Continuous Service Improvement
  • The ideal candidate has a strong technical background with recent Account Management, Sales Support or Business Development exposure, and experienced in the following areas:
    • Solution/Service Positioning
    • Driving Sales Programmes across multiple sales organisations.
    • Creating, executing and measuring programmatic Go-To-Market activities.           
  • ITIL Practitioner certified
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certified
  • TOGAF, CCSP/CISP and/or Change Management Practitioner certified an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. 12 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
