The applicant must possess 

1. a recognised degree;
2. a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification work experience in ethnic minority social services, preferably with experience in interpretation and translation;
3. an established network in ethnic minority community with good communication and interpersonal skills;
4. good command of written and spoken English; and competency in Cantonese;
5. competency in both written and spoken Hindi, Nepali, Urdu, etc. would be an advantage; and
6. proficiency in Microsoft application software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  (Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)

Duties include 

1. to arrange and manage manpower for providing simultaneous interpretation service at trade test briefings and reception service at front desk;
2. to assist the Hong Kong Construction Industry Trade Testing Centre and/or Hong Kong Institute of Construction in various trade testing and/or training activities, including promotion, enrolment, interpretation for non-Chinese speaking trainees and/or trade testing candidates, scheduling of training /trade test arrangements, etc.;
3. to liaise with construction workers and stakeholders of various ethnic minorities with a view to promote training and trade testing services of CIC;
4. to collect feedbacks from trade test candidates by participation at events organised by the outreach team of the Corporate Communications;
5. to prepare trade test materials and assist in conducting trade test in workshops;
6. to draft correspondence, compile reports, write minutes and perform various administrative duties; and
7. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
