Oracle Consulting organization is responsible for delivering specialized consulting services to clients and supporting sales activities related to Oracle Cloud Services.

Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor specialized in design and delivery of Next-Gen Cloud platforms based on Oracle Cloud Services\:

• Understand customers' overall applications portfolio, IT and business priorities and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions (Oracle and 3rd party solutions) using IaaS, PaaS, DevOps & Advanced Application coding
• Frame and lead Cloud Transformation project with both Technical and Business users to define key project initiatives on Oracle Cloud Platform
• Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap. Architect solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure technologies, and Application Development and DevOps technologies (i.e. App Service, containers, serverless, cloud native, etc.)
• Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment
• Develop deep relationships with key customer decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within their company to enable them to be Oracle cloud advocates
• Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Cloud@Customer
• Maintain technical skills and knowledge of market trends and competitive insights
• Use deep customer understanding to deliver competitive advantage
• Act as a leader in order to orchestrate the Cloud Transformation initiative

 

 

Desired Technical Skills & Experience

• Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management required
• Experience and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud) required
• Deep domain expertise of cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e. Linux IaaS, SAP, BC&DR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers and Infra as a code technologies) required
• Deep understanding of cloud application development solutions (i.e. PaaS, Serverless, API Management), container orchestration (i.e. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry) and continuous integration technologies like Jenkins, Spinnaker, GitHub
• Web application server technologies, cloud application design, software architecture and practices; (design/development/deployment, Agile, SCRUM, ALM)
• One or more of the following programming languages\: C , C#, Java, Node.js, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, Pig/Hive, SQL, PL/SQL
• Experience using integrated development environments (i.e. NetBeans, Eclipse, XCode, WebSphere, LAzarus) targeting Linux, Windows, public clouds (i.e. OCI, Azure, AWS) required
• Knowledge and hands on experience on one or more of the following Databases\: Oracle RDBMS, MySql, MS-SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra

 

Desired Professional qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects
• Deep experience in architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications
• Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior IT executives in large or highly strategic accounts
• Strong results oriented attitude during customer facing activities such as the ability to identify quick win solutions based on customer needs
• Feel comfortable developing and presenting solutions to IT as well as Business users using the appropriate approach and language
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assess and solve problems in a structured way at all times.
• A good level of understanding of Oracle’s overall technologies and solutions.
• Ability to work within team-orientated environments and possess excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Energetic and enthusiastic approach to technology, personal management, and building customer relationships.
• Ability to network extensively internally and externally to Oracle in order to create long-term valued business relationships.
• Project Management and structured / strong organization skills are a plus.

!|!As a recognized authority and leading contributor within their practice, this senior-level consulting position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.

8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.
