Job Description
Cloud DBA / System Administrator
- As Technical Engineer, you will be providing DBA and SA support to dedicated Cloud at Customer environments.
- You will work closely with MCS and ACS, to deliver understand the proprietary orchestration tool & expand the automation to enhance dba experience
- As DBA (19, 18, 12.2 & 12.1), you will be carrying out DBA tasks: run/maintain, migrations, Upgrades, Cloning, performance tuning, solution design.
- You will be working in a true globalized organization with widespread talented teams across technology domains in OCI Organizations
- You will be required work across the team boundaries to explore opportunities for automation of routine tasks
- You will have opportunity to expand technologies scope either in Oracle or DevOps side. You will also get time to sharpen the saw and keep your skills fresh (through Oracle learning program)
What you bring:
- Strong work experience in end to end DBA (RAC, DR, DB security) /SA preferably in cloud environment
- Coding experience in Python, Ansible, Shell scripts
- Good experience in the latest release of Database administration including experience of upgrade, migration, change management
- Work experience in production support environment is a MUST
Additional bonus if you have:
- Practical experience with WLS and automation/orchestration tools
- Latest Certification in Devops/ Oracle technology.

As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
