So what are you waiting for? Join our Oracle Solaris Engineering team! We’re looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our Prague office!

Oracle Solaris is the world’s most advanced operating system and complete cloud platform of choice for mission critical deployments in financial, telecommunications and other industries.  Oracle Solaris Team in Prague is a friendly work environment composed of 30 highly skilled and talented UNIX professionals and is part of a global Oracle Solaris team.
 
Oracle Solaris engineers work all the time with various parts of the Oracle Solaris source code and are responsible for design, implementation, and testing of new features and bug fixes.  Many of our staff are highly experienced engineers and are considered experts in their areas of specialization.  Our senior engineers are the best mentors any recent graduates or junior engineers can get in the industry.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS\:
•    Experience with UNIX/Linux operating system.
•    Experience in writing, troubleshooting, and debugging C/C code.
•    Understanding of UNIX fundamentals, scripting and shell programming techniques.
•    Currently enrolled in Bsc/Msc in Computer Science or similar.
•    Good English communication skills (oral and written).

PREFERRED SKILLS\:
•    Understanding of UNIX/Linux internals and system programming.
•    Hands-on experience with any UNIX/Linux kernel technology (device driver, file system, networking, etc.).
•    Project management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
•    Experience with a Customer support role is a plus.
•    Knowledge of cloud computing technologies is a plus.
