Oracle Solaris Release Engineer (Graduate)

We are looking for a Graduate to join our Oracle Solaris Release Engineering team.The candidate will join an existing team in Prague and will work on projects with other engineers from UK, Ireland, India, and US.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES\:

·        Compilation of Oracle Solaris from source code

·        Building and releasing Oracle Solaris packages and images

·        Automation and enhancements of CI/CD processes

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 •   A minimum of Bachelor/Master degree Engineering/ Mathematics/ Natural Sciences or equivalent
•    Experience with UNIX/Linux operating system
•    Understanding of UNIX/Linux fundamentals, scripting and shell programming techniques
•    Experience with Python scripting
•    Working experience with UNIX/Linux compilation and Makefiles
•    Good English communication skills (oral and written)

PREFERRED SKILLS\:

·        Elementary knowledge of C or Java

·        Understanding of Continuous Integration and Delivery approach

·        Experience with Jenkins, Hudson, or any other CI tool

·        Reliability, multi-tasking and organizational skills

!|!Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
